Sports law

DAI has an extensive network in the sports industry. The DAI sports division is a competent team comprising professionals with experience in different facets of the sports sector including litigation, negotiation, and business.

The founding director, Geaniel Davids, having obtained her LLM degree in International Sports Law from Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid: Universidad Europea Madrid, also trained at Pinto Ruiz and Del Valle Abogados and Economistas (Barcelona). The training covered all aspects of sports law, especially anti-doping, football disputes, and litigating before sporting bodies like FIFA  and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution

The team has numerous years of experience litigating in various courts and before various tribunals. The founding director was a practicing advocate at the Johannesburg Society of Advocates for over 11 years, during this time she conducted trials for various clients involving a wide spectrum of the law. We are therefore competent at handling commercial and insolvency matters, as well as employment and labour disputes.

The DAI team comprises accredited mediators who are experienced and competent to provide clients with mediation services. The team further has experience in commercial and sports arbitrations.

Employment and labour law

Our team can advise and assist our clients with all employment and labour related disputes and matters including:
